We operate out of the Comp-U-Bytes Computer store located at 2470 Oro Dam Blvd, Ste A.
Not long after opening Comp-u-Bytes, the owner and its staff soon realized the need for an alterative to Dial UP internet connections for those people living in our local area as well as the need for a roaming internet service within the central Oroville city area.
We find that there are many people living in our community with special needs who do not meet the normal DSL connection requirements. For example, our service does NOT require a phone line or cable for you to connect. For the home users a small antenna will be installed by us on your house allowing you to connect to the service. For roaming users, in and around the central Oroville area all that is required is that they have a wireless capability on their notebook computer.
While the speed of our service is not as high as the major providers, it is up to 10 times faster than a traditional 56K dial up service.
We also recognized the need for people who live in the area to be able to have a variety of payment methods including credit cards, checks, pay-pal, as well as a local payment center.
Having certified trained professional computer service personnel on hand in the comp-u-bytes store gives us the unique ability to be able to quickly respond to our customer needs on a local level without the need of a out of country technical support center.
